KOMA Elektronik has introduced Monoplex, a performance-driven Eurorack sequencer built for evolving melodic control. They say that, inspired by the Komplex Sequencer, it distills its hands-on philosophy into a focused, single-channel design packed with features. Every core parameter can be voltage-controlled, opening the door to endlessly shifting yet fully deterministic sequences. From tight Berlin-school patterns to generative melodic systems, Monoplex encourages experimentation.
At its heart is a significantly expanded quantizer. Beyond chromatic, major, and minor modes, Monoplex allows you to upload your own scales via MIDI SysEx using our browser-based tool. Choose from thousands of microtonal scales or create and audition your own instantly.
A dedicated MIDI-note capture mode lets incoming notes define the active scale on the fly. Microtonal scales can also be played on MIDI Synthesizers via Pitch Bend information.
Compact and hands-on, Monoplex delivers an endless supply of melodies and modulations inside your Eurorack system.
