SinTH2: a new monster Synthesizer designed by Polish developer Tomasz Rożka and his team with five sample-based oscillators.
Synthesizers have long been available at every price point, from very cheap to super premium and expensive. Monster synths certainly belong to the latter category. There aren’t many of them, but another all-new one is coming soon.
New Polish developer Tomasz Rożka has announced the SinTH2, a new monster synth.
SinTH2
SinTH2 is a new monster synth developed by a team of four people from Poland, led by Tomasz Rożka (Tom Horn).
His goal was to create a modern, intuitive, and effective instrument with versatile stage and studio applications. The project is a continuation of the author’s many years of experience designing synthesizers and working with musicians.
Monster synth is a fitting term here. The SinTH2 format is similar to the Schmidt Synthesizer, with its massive wooden housing and fold-out panel. But that’s optional.
According to the developers, the design is customizable, and you can order it with a foldable or flat layout. A desktop version is also in development.
The synth consists of two sections. The lower one houses a Fatar keyboard, hopefully polyphonic aftertouch, with a joystick. The top panel features the control unit for the sound engine: 120 potentiometers, nine encoders, 36 buttons, and four OLED displays.
Huge machine; this must be an analog mono or polysynth? Interestingly, it isn’t. SinTH2 combines sample-based content and classic synthesis, which is quite different for a monster synth.
The engine is digital, offers 60-voice polyphony, and features three oscillator blocks totaling five oscillators. Oscillators 1 and 2 each feature two independent stereo sound sources/layers, while oscillator 3 has one stereo sound source, ideal for basses, leads, and reinforcement layers.
Each oscillator supports classic synthesis and sample content as its sound source. 3GB of internal sounds/waveforms provide a wide selection. It’s unclear whether multi-samples or even sampling is supported, but if so, it could create almost workstation-like sounds.
Additionally, each block has its own OLED screen and range of parameters for hands-on control. Plus, it has a noise oscillator.
SinTH2 interface
In the middle of the interface is the 18dB filter, available in low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass options. It has classic controls like cutoff, resonance, and more.
Modulation is located in the lower-left area: four multi-wave voice LFOs (filter, pitch, amp, and pan), one global pitch LFO, and three ADSR envelopes (filter, amp).
A multi-FX processor is also onboard. On the right side, you can find dedicated sections for each effect with hands-on controls: drive, ensemble, phaser, delay, reverb, and EQ. There is also a stereo input to feed the internal FX engine.
A 16-step polyphonic sequencer with motion recording for all the knobs adds extra movement to your sounds. Up to 1920 memory slots give you plenty of space to store your freshly programmed sounds.
SinTH2
On the backside, it has XLR symmetrical audio outputs, a stereo audio input for the FX processor, 5-pin MIDI sockets, and more.
There is a detailed video about the new SinTH2. However, it requires extensive knowledge of Polish as it is entirely in Polish. Automatic translation in text form probably doesn’t work.

Packing a workstation-like engine into a monster synth is an original idea. Often, such sample-based monsters are rather unknobby. This one is different. Many details are still missing, but what you can hear already sounds very powerful.
The SinTH2 price and availability are TBA. According to the developers, you can choose your own version, including the color scheme and various mechanical options (folding panel, fixed panel, or desktop) as well as software aspects.
They discuss each order individually to finalize details with customers.
