It seems the Ozarks have produced a string of odd and unusual people who, in one way or another, distinguished themselves. Some became famous for just being who they were, while others did something remarkable or outstanding in some way. What follows is a look at a few of those individuals who made a difference in the world by simply being who they were or doing what they did. Some of the following stories may leave you scratching your head or could bring a smile to your face.
